With WAGO at Hannover Messe 2024
The more digital the media landscape becomes, the more important it is to experience a brand in real life. PR in particular is a people business in which cultivating strong relationships is essential. Trade fairs and conferences offer the opportunity to firmly anchor a company and its representatives in journalists’ minds.
The same applies to Hannover Messe. As the world’s largest industrial trade fair, it attracts a vast number of visitors every year. WAGO used the event to present its latest technologies and innovations. Through targeted media outreach and intensive follow-up, we invited journalists to personal meetings and interviews at the WAGO booth and coordinated appointments with the desired spokespersons. We also highlighted WAGO’s presence at the trade fair via the CEO’s LinkedIn account. As a special project, we supported the press activities surrounding the 50th anniversary of the popular terminal block.
At the trade fair, we conducted numerous conversations and took on moderation duties. In this way, we established personal contacts and built new relationships that will continue to be of great value to WAGO in the future. We also carefully maintain these contacts after the event, ensuring a lasting connection with the relevant editorial teams. On LinkedIn, we reported on the outcomes of the trade fair, thereby rounding off our media relations activities.
Sounds like basic PR? It is. But even the basics need to be done well. At TDUB, we now have around 20 years of experience in successful trade fair PR. That’s why we know what journalists expect.
