IPRN: networking for the international PR of our customers

IPRN? What’s that supposed to be? Let’s start right from the beginning: media relations beyond your own national borders is difficult. In addition to linguistic and cultural hurdles, there are very specific differences in how the media operate in the target countries. At TDUB, we repeatedly implement international PR measures for our clients ourselves. With such a “small solution”, we also serve Austrian and Swiss media and establish contacts with a few key English-language media in Europe or the United States. In addition, we use classic PR tools for the global distribution of the story.

How does PR work in other countries?

Many tech companies, for example from the consumer electronics sector, want to open up new markets abroad in a lasting and sustainable way. We pave the way for these clients with our international agency contacts. In addition to individual agency partnerships that have developed on a case-by-case basis, we draw on our network IPRN for this.

In this international alliance, 45 owner-managed and independent PR service providers from 28 countries across 5 continents have come together. In practice, we coordinate international campaigns for our clients together with the IPRN agencies when they have a suitable offering. Conversely, we take on their clients when they want to establish themselves in Germany.

At the beginning of November, the IPRN European Meeting 2018 took place in Luxembourg. Over one and a half packed days, we at TDUB discussed strategic questions with our partners, shared insights and developed proposals. Not to be forgotten: the “networking”, which can be carried out perfectly in the exciting little town – late into the night.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the local organiser Binsfeld, a communications agency with an associated publishing house, which also made it possible for us to pay a spectacular visit to the hangars of the cargo airline Cargolux. The discussion about the challenges of global communication at Cargolux was captivating. A very strong CSR commitment helps Cargolux to differentiate itself from its competitors.
