AI & GEO

Ki geo

We use artificial intelligence where it helps to purposefully develop content and topics and to design innovative processes and offerings. We combine curated content development with our earned media expertise from traditional PR to optimize our clients' presence in AI results — that is Generative Engine Optimization. Because the editorial credibility that results from personal media relations forms the foundation on which AI systems generate answers today. For us, GEO is therefore a logical evolution of strategic communication: Your brand remains visible.

What significance does the use of AI systems have for TDUB?

No discipline has experienced such rapid acceleration as the creation of content and its distribution across various communication channels. At TDUB, we are constantly learning and experimenting with partners and clients on new technologies, tools, and processes. Together, we want to seize opportunities and try new things – to achieve our clients’ goals. For us, LLMs are a tool for making processes more efficient and content smarter. We use AI in compliance with regulations for text creation and develop concepts for how content workflows can be automated. We support you in introducing agentic AI – pragmatically, with a willingness to learn, and with external expertise where it makes sense. For us, AI is not just a useful tool in many cases. It creates added value by enabling new processes, offerings, and business models.

How far has the PR industry really come when it comes to the use of Artificial Intelligence? What results do LLMs deliver? And how does GEO fit with PR?

In November 2025, Tilo Timmermann, Managing Director of TDUB Kommunikationsberatung, reported on the status of AI application in agencies in the blog of the international agency network IPRN: “The Full Spectrum of AI in Agency Practice – A Field Report from the Engine Room”

Why is GEO a PR task for TDUB?

For us, GEO is not a technical discipline, but a communicative one. AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Copilot preferentially draw on editorially vetted, high-reputation, and contextually embedded content in their responses. This is exactly where TDUB comes in: We develop narratives, topics, and content in such a way that they carry weight within the semantic ecosystem of AI. To do this, we combine strategic PR, earned media, thought leadership, and content planning into a coherent GEO approach. The goal is not short-term ranking, but the sustainable presence of companies, brands, and offerings where people seek guidance today: in AI-generated responses. Together, we define what a client should stand for, in which contexts they want to be mentioned — and ensure that this positioning is also "understood" and reproduced by AI. As an agency with a focus on traditional media relations, we are ideally positioned for this, because we have always convinced high-quality media with strong arguments and "earned" our clients a trustworthy media presence.
